Remarks
Considered to be one of Ernest Woods' finest half deckers,
and probably one of the largest on the Broads, "Black Bess" was
privately commissioned as a 'one off'. She has the lines of a stretched White
Boat, and her three hull drawings and a sail plan are currently housed in the
archives at the Museum of the Broads in Stalham (available for viewing on
request). She was this year's winner at the Hickling Regatta (2015). She is a very quick boat and perfectly balanced for both
racing and pleasure cruising. In excellent and very original
condition for her age, she is a real survivor, with great charm and character.
Half share: £4500.
