Broom 38

I had a visit to Banes of Brinkcraft Boatyard in Wroxham today to Survey this rare Broom 38 for Insurance purposes.

Offering Norfolk Broads-based holidays both ashore and afloat Barnes and Brinkcraft have been in business for over 45 years. They have a range of 35 different types of cruisers along with three very different types of shore-based holiday lodges and cottages. They are situated in Wroxham, which has always been classed as the heart of the Norfolk Broads. Both the village of Horning and Colitishall, with their beautiful thatched riverside cottages, are just a short journey away.

Im not sure on the History of this Cruiser, I cant remember seeing another like her so I guess she was built as a one off for a private individual back in 1968. She has the good looks of a ‘Classic Woody’ but the advantage of a fibreglass hull. Any info on her please mail me....

Her owners hoping to take her to the Brooms Anniversary Pageant coming soon … if you are the owner of one of the following Broom models.9/70, Broom Navigator, Broom Robb, 31, 32, 365, Ocean 37, 450, 530
They have currently got over 30 boats confirmed to take part in the Anniversary Pageant to celebrate the 115th anniversary.
If you are the owner of one of the models listed above and can be in Brundall with the your boat on Saturday 27th July then please contact Louise to register your interest or find out more.
The day will comprise a sail past of the pageant fleet, plus the chance to view some of the different boats, as well as take part in a factory tour, browse stalls from selected partners and try out a hire boat or step aboard a selection of pre-loved Broom boats for sale.
The day will be rounded off by a hog roast party with dancing to live music from a local band.
