Thinking of buying a boat in Greece and want peace of mind?
We offer you this service by not only supplying you with a detailed written report but also by understanding (especially if you are a first time buyer) that you need our support and friendly advice during the purchase period.
The pre-purchase survey is one the most extensive of surveys and a good surveyor has to systematically go through each part of the vessel knowing what to look for and how to determine if there is a fault. It requires years of practical knowledge around boats and the skills learnt in the trade to carry out the work.
We pride ourselves in offering this service and delivering a clear and concise report in a timely and friendly manner.

This weeks assignment Condition Survey on this 1980 Sadler 32
Just like the Sadler 34, the Sadler 32 can be traced back to the Contessa 32 which was also designed by David Sadler, but built by Jeremy Rogers.
The following features of the Sadler 32 (designed 1979) are significant in the history of cruising yacht design: Straight sheer (Uncommon of contemporary yachts at that time), but now commonplace.
Heavily cambered deck and coachroof moulding, which sheds water quickly and provides more horizontal surface on weather deck when heeled. Provides headroom, whilst maintaining a sleek external appearance. More beam and firmer bilge, giving more accommodation, improved stiffness and downwind stability.
Unusually trim stern with small transom. This benefits the rating for racing purposes, but also to give a smooth flow of water and thus tow a smaller quarter wave.
Between 1979 and 1989 there were 300 Sadler 32s built. This one I Surveyed today was built in 1980. Alongside this, Mike Slack bought moulds from Sadler and built a further 12-14 and ex-Sadler employee, Andy Middleton of Poole currently builds small quantities of the Sadler 32.
The Sadler 32 was initially fitted with the reliable Watermota 30hp Seapanther engine, but it was too large for the yacht. From 1982 it was supplied with the Bukh 20 engine and from 1986, the Volvo 2002 engine. This one has a Yanmar 30GM.
Surveyors thoughts: In summary, the Sadler 32 is as a reliable, easy to handle yacht providing family sailing and/or competitive racing.

This weeks assignment the Classic Trident Warrior 40 footer.
I really enjoyed Surveying this boat. She will give you no thrills on the wind but she is clearly a weatherly boat, carrying a lot more sail than, say, an equivalent- sized Hallberg-Rassy in such conditions. That’s because she’s heavy – 14.83 registered tons, which goes up to 16 tons when she’s in cruising mode. She sets a 135% genoa, an in-mast furling mainsail and a self-tacking staysail without a boom.
Her deck-stepped mast has two sets of cross-trees and a pair of forward-facing jumper struts, tensioned via an adjustable backstay. There are Lewmar 44 winches for the sheets and 40s for the halyards. It all amounts to an arrangement that will please you greatly.
Surveyors comments:
Great liveaboard and loads of room, I particularly liked the long counter galley. If I was looking for a good 40' which would take me anywhere the Warrior would be up there.
