Sealine S28

Had a trip out to Brundall today on the South Broads. The Sealine S28 is another example of Sealine's wonderful use of space relative to the overall length. This model manages a very large cockpit and interior with all the luxuries normally associated with much bigger boatsThe accommodation on the S28 is second to none for its class. She offers a large galley area incorporating a fridge freezer and full washing up facilities! The forward area of the saloon features a large u shaped seating area that in the evenings creates a large double berth. The aft cabin again features a large double berth. Located between the two sleeping areas is the toilet and shower area. This features a full toilet and hot and cold shower…..

Surveyors comment:

After Inspecting dozens of these boats over the years they tend to go through Survey very well. This model was a 1998, this was the year when the RCD was brought in, so its important to check all the boats paperwork with the Yacht Broker prior to purchase.

What is the RCD

The Recreational Craft Directive (RCD) is a trade directive that became law on the 16th June 1996. A two-year introductory period was allowed for and therefore new craft placed on the market after the 16th June 1998 have to comply with the mandatory requirements of the Directive.

Sealine 290 Ambassador

Todays assignment was carrying out a Full Survey and Valuation on this Sports Crusier...Sealine is a Midlands based company, which has been designing and building boats for over 30 years. The range includes craft up to 60ft, but it is the smaller craft which are increasingly popular on the Broads

Accommodation: Sleeps four in one double berth and two single berths,
layout comprising of a forward drop down double, two single berths in the aft cabin

2 x Volvo diesels AD31B @ 130hp.

Surveyors comments: A good inspection of the sterndrives is important: Check drive lift motors, bellows, props, oils, bearings, seals, sacrificial anodes etc. I recommend that all sacrificial anodes are checked regularly, failure to do so may cause serious corrosion problems.

The New Richardsons Cruisers

I was at Richardsons in Stalham today carrying out a number of Valuation Surveys on thier hire fleet cruisers. Their brand new RC45 Lowliner was one of them. She has beautiful lines for a hire boat and she is the flagship of the Richardson’s fleet. A six berth cruiser with double cabins fore and aft and a large central saloon. For the lucky hirers she has all this equipment onboard: 240Volt shore power. Full electric sliding canopy.Warm air heating. 3 ensuite showers/Wcs. DVD. Bow and Stern Thrusters...and for the kids!  X Box 360. Satelite TV.

Check her out on U Tube during the building process
