Morston Quay Survey

I was Surveying a Leisure 22 yacht today on the North Norfolk Coast about an hour from home. A very quiet little village Morston. Lovely spot though....

The Leisure 22 was designed and built to meet for a 4/6-berth family cruiser without sacrificing the versatility and performance required by the yachtsman. Both twin (bilge) keel and fin keel versions were available. The design features a high ballast ratio of 43% for stability with very good sized accommodation for a yacht of this length. The Leisure 22 was designed by Graham Caddick.

Always a very quiet little boat yard in the winter.... you can get a boat trip to see the seals in the summer

New Norfolk Broads Website

England’s top tourism boss is to launch this year’s official tourism campaign for the Broads as he announces that Britain’s Magical Waterland has been selected as one of only four “Pathfinder” destinations in the UK.

Broom 42 Motor Yacht

I was back at Brooms Boats in Brundall today Surveying this 42. A boat capable of both fast offshore and inland cruising. The design incorporates the dual aft steps from the cockpit, which proved popular on the 365 and 450, as well as modernistic frameless windows. Teak decking all round and on the bathing platform and transom steps.Internally the Motor Yacht concentrates on comfort for guests as well as owner, with a larger forward cabin with a dual purpose bunk which can be configured as twins or a double. The influence of Broom's in-house design team can be seen in the internal styling. In common with other recent models, this one favours Yanmar 6LY2 series diesel engines.
